Your Elbows Drop and Your Midline Gives

The fault

Losing the front rack partway through the squat.

Why it happens

Front squats are rarely limited by the legs. They are limited by the ability to hold the torso and elbows in place, which is what the whole rack position is for.

The fix

Elbows lead into a solid midline. Hold the elbow position and the midline has something to organize around, and the squat goes up.
