Your Front Rack Is Too Tight for Cleans and Front Squats

The fault

Not enough range to hold a proper front rack position.

Why it happens

A solid front rack is not optional for either lift. If the range is not there, you are managing the bar rather than supporting it, every single rep.

The fix

A set of drills to open the front rack. A partner helps with the stretches but is not required.
